Three of our fitter employees here at Express Vending successfully swam, cycled and ran their way to the finish line of the London Olympic Team Triathlon at the capital’s Excel Centre. In doing so, the trio of Express Vending employees raised a bundle of cash for charity and came an impressive 131st out of the 454 teams that competed. So, a big well done to Daniel Capozzi, Paul Hearne and Marcus Groth for the successful completion of the gruelling triathlon.
Daniel, who completed the 1500 metre swim in the River Thames, even beat F1 driver Jenson Button with his impressive front crawl skills. And, to add to the drama, thanks to a flat tyre on the way to the start line, Paul had to bike 5 miles to the start line prior to completing his 40km cycle. And Marcus finished the team triathlon on a high by successfully completing the 10km run.
